1959 Ford Fairlane street legal. d winning Fireball Roberts tribute car. This car is from a master builder. Per the builder, the car is powered by a 2004 Police Interceptor 4.6 with aluminum heads, aluminum radiator, engine oil cooler, fuel injection with an automatic transmission. The car sits on a 1989 Crown Victoria sub frame. It has a 1995 8.8 posi rear end with 355 gears. The obd computer hookup is there for easy diagnostics. The car has wear and tear since its construction and looks like it has been parked in the back of a garage for 40 years but I think it just adds character. It is street legal and has given no trouble in road trips to car shows. About 20% of the people who see the car ask me if it was actually Fireball's car. It was not but it looks like it was taken off the track after its career and left in a barn. It has been in 4 shows and won 3 awards including Employees Choice among 82 cars. A real attention getter and great fun. It has a miss at idle. Still drives fine down the highway.
