1962 Dodge Dart This bad boy comes with a very impressive 572 cubic inch roller motor with a cross ram intake with twin 600cfm edelbrock carbs. Aluminum Be Cool radiator with twin fans keep it cool on those very hot summer days. Doug's ceramic fender well headers and all stainless piping take care of the rear exiting exhaust. 4 wheel manual disc brakes with a Wilwood master cylinder gives the car good stopping power. A torqueflite 727 transmission with a reverse manual shift valve body handles the push button shifting chore up front. I have to say it's pretty cool shifting this car with the push of a button! Guys and gals, this is one real sleeper looking ride and you will be surprised with the looks and thumbs up you will get from the sound and unusual look. Out back is a 8 3/4 sure grip installed in the tough 489 case with 3:55 gears to handle the drag street radials. People tell me that the car is so ugly but is really cool looking because its different! On the slick paint the stainless work is polished and looks great along with the bright bumpers and mirrors. On the inside the interior is as new looking with a combination of original looking blue cloth and vinyl. Door panels are like new with the same vinyl covering. The floor is uncarpeted and covered with like new rubber matting which could be carpeted over if preferred. Also, this car is heater and radio delete and has your aftermarket oil, water temp and tachometer with shift light neatly installed. The rear suspension is handled by adjustable shocks and CalTrac bars which can be removed if desired. The underneath of the car is painted the same color as the body and I wipe it down every year to keep it looking as neat as possible. The Mopar battery is located in the right rear of the trunk. Headers have electronic cut outs for that really mean sounding 572 inches of Mopar power. I store this car every winter in a heated and humidity controlled environment.
