Description

1949 Dodge Coronet,  Very nice Laplata Blue 505 paint. Great lines gap and fit all the chrome and trim on the car is in superior condition. Very unique style front grill featuring two smaller top pieces separated by a rectangular grill and the bottom third piece extends out below the headlight and turn signal indicators. Very nice two-tone tan and brown interior. Very original car, the undercarriage looks good. Brand new feature for 59 was a key-start ignition. Dodges utilized fluid coupling plus clutch standard shift. Gyro-Matic two-range (four-speed) semi-automatic transmission with fluid coupling and clutch. With the Gyro-Matic, the clutch was required only to shift between low range, high range and into reverse. The shift lever control on the steering column mimicked “three on the tree” but without “first” gear position. The car features a durable rigid double channel frame, independent front coil suspension, inclined rear telescopic dampers, safety rim wheels, and dual front brake cylinders in the drum brakes providing extra stopping power. Factory correct Babymoon dish hubcaps with Dodge and red letters and an amazing set of Firestone non-radial tires, not recommended for use in driving.
